Though he lived in Ellsworth, Wisconsin, Bill Quinn was a longtime fixture in Twin City bridge. Whether at the Twin City Bridge Center, the Minneapolis Grand Slam Club or other Minneapolis/St. Paul games, Bill enjoyed competing in a variety of venues with a number of favored partners. Above, we see Bill playing at the TCBC, sporting his distinctive beret. Unfortunately, it was not summer; we didn't capture his plaid pants.
Bill was creative and competitive and he will be greatly missed by the many friends he has in our community. Condolences from MN Bridge to his family.
More details on Bill's life can be found in his obituary.
He was truly one of the nicest men I ever met, and had a passion for bridge that fueld his long drive from his home in Ellsworth, WI to the Twin City Bridge Center. We will miss you, Bill.

The obituary noted that Bill was the "consummate gentleman" and there could not be a more appropriate description. He will indeed be missed.

At the conclusion of "A Few Good Men" it was said "You don't need a patch on your arm to have honor"
Bill told his kids to "Be A Winner" as he obviously was... a 'Superflight' personality.
We are told during ACBL Goodwill Days that "It's nice to be important, but more important to be nice!" Bill exemplified that kind of temperament.

I was always pleased to hear Bill on the phone asking if I wanted a game, often for that evening. You couldn't ask for a nicer partner. Twin cities bridge will not be the same.
