Unit 178 held a General Membership meeting on April 12th. Linda Brammer, Diane Henson, Liz Hughes and Steve Gaynor were elected to the Unit Board of Directors, effect July 1st. Other board members continuing to serve are Sue Jackson, Kerry Holloway and Barb Zipoy.
Thanks to go Mike Cassel, who has served for 8 years as a hard working board member. Mike will continue to contribute to District 14 as our GNT coordinator.
Additional thanks are extended to Jim Peterson. Jim finished Julie Tigges' position on the board following her untimely death. Jim will also continue to help Unit 178 as the I/N representative.
Should you see any of these hard working members in the coming months - please extend your appreciation! Bridge in Minnesota would not be the same without them!
On August 2nd, Unit 178 will hold its annual Charity Game. Although the date is a ways off, we need to select a recipient for this year's game.
We invite members to submit proposals for a charity they believe to be worthy of this honor. Your submission should include your name, the name of a 501c(3) qualified charity and a brief explanation of the worthiness of the charity. Additionally, please include data about the willingness of charity representatives to attend the Charity Game, along with your ability to help with the silent auction and overall event.
Proposals should be submitted by May 15th to Linda Brammer or Sue Jackson. email@example.com
Thanks for your efforts - and look forward to the game in early August!
Saturday, May 5th, Unit 178 will recognize 2012 Ace of Clubs and Mini-McKenney contest winners and high finishers. Everyone is invited to the Twin City Bridge Center to celebrate!
The Unit will sponsor a complimentary dinner at 5:30, followed by an awards program at 6:15. After Unit 178's brief annual Membership Meeting, we'll honor our achievers in the best way possible: with a bridge game for all!
If you have any questions about the evening, please contact Unit President Sue Jackson at firstname.lastname@example.org.
