Our latest GNT competition is well under way! GNT is a fine way to compete amongst your peers, win masterpoints and perhaps earn a subsidized trip to compete at the Summer NABC in Toronto.
Mike Cassel, our District 14 GNT coordinator, has a flyer detailing everything about this year's GNT. Do check out the attached flyer and organize your best team! Mike will be happy to help with any questions and/or arrangements.
There is a growing trend in the ACBL to stratify by total pair or team masterpoints. It is time for the GNT to do that, also. I ask that a motion be made at the next BOD to make teams eligible for Flight A if the top 4 players on that team have fewer than 20000 lifetime masterpoints. Flight B would be 8000 or fewer. Superflight (open) and flight C qualifications (non-life masters) would not change.
In our district (and probably many others) more teams would be willing to play in the event under these rules.
