For duplicate bridge players, ACBL masterpoints are our coin of the realm. Every year, whether a beginner in the "Rookie" category or a seasoned Platinum or Grand Life Master, competitors do their best to nab as many masterpoints as they can.
District 14 players have an excellent start in the Great Masterpoint Hunt of 2011. At the top of the pack as of May 6th, is professional player GS Jade Barrett of South Dakota, with 422 points. Firmly in second place is Jade's wife, Karen, with 264. District 14 director Sharon Anderson, MN, has earned 182 for third, with six more Minnesotans grabbing the next slots. Rounding out the top ten is Kerry Brothers of North Dakota.
The full list can be viewed below. Of course, much of 2011 remains, full of club games, sectionals, regionals, NABC's and all sort of special games inbetween. So - gather ye masterpoints while ye may! And have loads of fun in the process!
