Doing the Heavy Lifting

As I've mentioned previously in what if? - it's my misfortune to live in a metro area where the only local daily available to me has an editorial board whose abilities make limburger cheese smell sweet.  Today's main offering is but one more among dozens that make me wonder if the Strib editorial board and assign similar meanings to words.

I contemplated blogging about it - but the Powerline guys have already done the heavy lifting!  Check out their post, and you'll see why the only local news I trust in print are the obits.

Peg, my hat is off to you. You have a far stronger stomach than I. I read the first two sentences and had to stop. It was either stop or have to make a choice between a stroke or vomitting. You have phenomenal strength to survive as you have in such an environment. I would have shut them out long ago.

That's pretty bad. Is the Strib an affiliate of al Jazerra?

Steve-- I think that the Star Tribune is the feeder for Al Jazerra!

You'd sure think so from some of the stuff that they write!
