Another Anniversary

Wizbang reminds us of what we are facing in this battle.

I would argue, however, that we are not at war against monsters.  Monsters are what show up in science fiction from outer space.  What we are facing in this war is human beings.  These are people, however, who are committing acts that are monstrous.

What is the ideal path to battle those who believe murdering small children as they attend school is the proper course of action?  I leave it to others far wiser and more knowledgeable than I to determine that.  Nevertheless, I do recognize that battle we must.  If we lose the world to those human beings who wish to commit acts that only monsters should desire - we have lost all.
