Big Dig versus Big Bridge

Bridge Contrast what happened in Boston with the infamous "Big Dig" versus Minneapolis with our new bridge.

I'm not certain why the "Big Dig" became a project rife with billions in overruns, and our bridge project achieved engineering accolades in a most timely manner.  Both projects should be studied, however; we need more of the latter sort and less of the former!

Actually, might not be a bad idea for collecting (as in, do not open and have your grandchildren auction them in sixty or so years) as example of major innovations in bridge engineering collected for a single structure.
