Mike Cassel, coordinator for District 14 GNT, did a superb job organizing our finals in New Brighton, MN. An excellent site, good hospitality, and a nice turnout.
A report on the event is posted below from Mike - and we thank him for all his efforts! Superflight turnout was a disappointment. Nevertheless, Mike assuredly did his part to urge more superflight players to compete!
Our thanks to Tony Ames, director, and to all those who contributed with treats and efforts to make the finals a fine event.
Congratulations to our winners! The members of the winning teams in each flight are in Mike's report. Good luck in Philadelphia!
We need to change the flighting to be done by masterpoint averaging rather than by the masterpoints of the person on a team who has the most. Many of us are disenfranchised by the old method. Most of our regionals and sectionals are flighted by average masterpoints of a pair or team. It is time for the GNT to do the same!
