Changes to NAP for 2014-2015

From the ACBL; changes to North American Pairs from the most recent Board of Directors meeting in Las Vegas. The changes and a new set of the conditions of contest are below.

Item 142-144: NAP Flight B and C

Flight B and C North American Pairs competition at the Spring NABC shall include the fourth-place pair from each District.

Effective March 2015 at the NABC in New Orleans

 

HOW THIS REGULATION AFFECTS THE 2014-2015 NAP EVENT:

 

Flight A:

• Not affected by new regulation.
• Three pairs will be invited from each district and one district will receive an extra pair determined by high levels of club participation.
• The previous year’s winner of the Flight A national finals will be invited to participate.

Flights B & C:

• Four pairs in each flight in each district will be invited to the NAP Finals at the Spring NABC.
• Pairs in two districts in each flight will receive enhanced subsidies determined by high levels of club participation.

 

SUBSIDY INFORMATION:

 

Subsidy Amounts – Flight A:

• 1^st Place Pairs – 700.00 each
• 2^nd Place Pairs – 300.00 each
• 3^rd Place Pairs – no subsidy

 

Subsidy Amounts for Pairs in District that Receives an Extra Flight A Pair:

• 1^st Place Pairs – 700.00 each
• 2^nd Place Pairs – 700.00 each
• 3^rd Place Pairs – 300.00 each
• 4^th Place Pairs – no subsidy

 

Subsidy Amounts for Flights B and C:

• 1^st Place Pair – 700.00 each
• 2^nd Place Pair – 300.00 each
• 3^rd Place Pair – no subsidy
• 4^th Place Pair – no subsidy

 

Enhanced Subsidy Amounts for Two Districts with High Levels of Club Participation - Flights B and C:

• 1^st Place Pair – 700.00 each
• 2^nd Place Pair – 700.00 each
• 3^rd Place Pair – 300.00 each
• 4^th Place Pair – no subsidy
