If you live in the Twin Cities, ample opportunities are available to play bridge. You can check out the many clubs listed at the left column on the blog - in addition to the frequent tournaments. The rest of the state is not left out, either! Many of our outlying cities have excellent local duplicates.
But .... When you are not playing bridge, you might choose to watch some of the finest experts in the world compete in the Bermuda Bowl. You can find lots of information about the event here. To kibitz, go to Bridge Base Online and watch the show.
Saturday night was the first evening of competition. As most of you know, we have two "home town" boys in the event: Steve Garner and Howie Weinstein. So far, so good; their team (USA I) scored big against USA II, the Nickell team!
The good news is that if you want to kibitz, you can do so and still play in the local dupe. The BB is held this year in Shanghai, so I guarantee you will not find a game locally while the show in China is being held!
Here or there - enjoy!
