Really enjoy your columns -- appreciate the time and thought you put into them!

In this one you may have been lucky that HOFer was distracted. I believe that after he trumps in with the J, if he leads back a club instead of a spade there is no way you can make the contract. A club lead cannot cost a trick and it is one I would expect a HOFer to make if his mind was on the current hand!
