Beautiful weather, fine hospitality, a good turnout and a pleasant venue all made for an excellent spring sectional in Rochester!
Jackie Evans of Rochester, along with Jacob Morgan of Madison were top dogs in the masterpoint hunt. The partnership scored just over 32 masterpoints for the weekend. The full list can be seen here.
Overall results for each event are at this link.
Our thanks to Barbara Wijdicks and John Ryder, tournament chairs, Ann Van Ryn, partnerships, our Director in Charge, Mike Flader - plus all the other individuals working and volunteering to create a great bridge experience at the sectional.
As most of you know, Grand National Teams was also held concurrently in Rochester Saturday and Sunday. We will post about that at District 14 Bridge, and cross-post here when those results are up!
More photos from the weekend below; enjoy!
(Please note; on the ACBL flyer, Lance Chamberlain was listed as tournament chair. So, MN Bridge originally thanked Lance for his role. While Lance has been a tireless contributor to bridge in Minnesota, Barbara Wijdicks and John Ryder were actually the fabulous co-chairmen at the tournament. The post is now corrected, and we thank Barbara and John - along with their volunteers - for all the great efforts!)
The team game points for Saturday afternoon and evening are not added in on this report. My afternoon points were credited yesterday on my personal ACBL page, but those that placed in the Saturday evening game may still not be updated as of 4-22-15. The published list on the ACBL website will probably not be updated ever, so individuals will have to monitor their points through their personal ACBL page or what is on the ACBL Bulletin in the future.

Points notwithstanding, it was a fine tournament, beautiful, spacious, well-lit playing site, and a good job done by the directors and organizers.
I heartily recommend that you put this event on your schedule for April 1-3, 2016.
