Mike Cassel wears many hats in the bridge world. One is as the Gopher Bulletin each day during the regional.
We received an email this evening from Sandy Nelson, who was taking photos during the regional of our I/N players. Sandy said so many appreciate the recognition that Mike gives to players, organizers and volunteers throughout the week. So - they thought that Mike should get some recognition in return for all he does!
Sandy said, "Mike is the engine behind the Bulletin."
Indeed he is!
As always, St. Cloud provided a fine venue and schedule for our competitors during the Granite City Sectional.
Our thanks to all the organizers, directors, caddies, volunteers - and PLAYERS who contributed!
Results can be found at the St. Cloud website. Veterans John Koch and Paolo Ranaldi were our top masterpoint achievers, each with over 28 points.

Much about bridge fascinates us. One of the many features is this: in many IMP matches, despite one team having a decent lead - it ain't over 'till it's over!
Fernando Lema has just such a match. The match was just held at the Canadian Bridge Championships. This was the finals of the CSTC - the category to see what Senior team would represent Canada in international competition this fall in India.
With only two hands to go, one team led the other by 21 IMPS. A big lead with just two deals! Yet .... well; Fernando can give you the details!
