Grand National Teams - ALL IN!

 

I'm not sure if District 14 ever achieved this feat - but - for certain, now we have.  Each of our GNT teams made it through the first day Swiss competition to the knock out phase of the event. Three of our teams finished the qualification day very close to the top!

Needless to say, we wish all of our teams the very best, hoping that each one remains ALL IN!  Go Team Balderson, Team Boje, Team Spitze, and Team Frieden!

St. Paul 499er Non Life Master Tournament

 

Some Minnesotans are winging their way to Atlanta today to compete in GNT - others will head out throughout the NABC.  BUT - for those who are homebodies, planning on staying in our great state - AND with 499 masterpoints or less - do we have a deal for you!

July 27-29, enjoy the St. Paul 499er Non Life Master Tournament!  Free treats; silver points; separate section for 0-199ers.

Atlanta Grand National Teams District 14 - 2018

 

A super set of District 14 GNT teams will be heading to Atlanta this week!  The event starts Wednesday - and - needless to say, we wish all our teams the best of luck.  As is usually the case, we are proud that so many fine Minnesotans will be representing us!

The team rosters this year are:

Additionally, Bill Kent (who I believe has represented District 14 more in GNT events than any other member of our District) kindly prepared a list of teams in each flight that have competed over the years. 

Please note that we've had more than our fair share of winners and high finishers!  Fingers crossed that this year it happens again!

Aquatennial Silver Point Sectional - July 11-15

 

It's summer - it's Aquatennial time - and - time to enjoy the Aquatennial Sectional!

The tourney starts tomorrow, July 11th, at the Twin City Bridge Center. 

The schedule is here, with lots of bridge for all.

Beat the heat and beat the opponents - and have a great week of bridge!

Granite City Sectional Results

 

Two North Dakotans grabbed honors for hitting the top of the masterpoint list.  Kudos to Linda Webb and Frank Knier for earning 26.35 each.  Wayne Reynolds and Paul Sitz were are other two competitors to gain over 20 masterpoints at the tourney.  They full list of players who earned masterpoints is here; overall results for the events are here.
