Very well said. I am in complete agreement. What is needed is a good, strong third-party movement of the middle to bring some sanity into our discourse. Not so much because I am in love with the middle, as to provide a place for most people to feel there is some place where consideration and reason exist. Impassioned polarization is great for political rallies, but it is horrible for running a country.


Ironically, it seems that President Bush doesn't participate in it enough!

Although I also agree a great deal with what Bill has said, I fear that forming a third party, as opposed to reforming the Republicans, would roll out the red carpet to radical leftist power.
