The PowerLine guys highlight what unappetizing editorial fare we Twin Citians must digest every day.
Of course, if you really wish to become ill, read this interview with Michael Berg, of course highlighted in the Strib.
You might note that Mr. Berg is not happy with Zarqawi's death, because "how can a human being be glad that another human being is dead?"
Since Mr. Berg is incapable of figuring it out, I'll explain.
Rational, kind human beings all over the planet can be glad. They can be, because it means that hundreds of thousands of innocents will now not be murdered. It means that Iraqis will have a better chance for their fledgling new government to take hold. It means that Iraqis will have more opportunities for true freedom. It means that ultimately, we in the West will have increased odds for safety, if societies in nations like Iraq are superior to the hell-hole that was created by individuals like Saddam and Zarqawi.
Too bad that Mr. Berg cannot understand this. Thank goodness, however; the majority of the rest of us do.
