My postings have been sparse to non-existent lately due to my heavy bridge schedule. Fortunately, however, I have pleasant news to report. My team and I played 23 matches in Omaha last week - and won 23 matches; no losses. Out of 5 events, we won 5 events. And (just to brag slightly more), my partner and I, in Sunday's four matches in which we competed, managed to snag 80 out of 80 possible points with our teammates! A new overall record for the tournament, and a new record - by a lot - for yours truly.
In addition, my long time and much beloved bridge partner, Bill Kent, achieved the highest national title that a bridge player can get: Grand Life Master. You need 10,000 master points plus a national championship to enter into this rarified air (there are only a little over 200 of 'em out of 157,000 tournament players). Congrats, Billy - and thanks, team, for a stupendous week!
Holy cow. Y'all layed the smack down! Congrats.
