If you have ever suffered from a migraine - which I unfortunately have on occasion for the past thirty some years - then you know just how debilitating the agony of an attack can be. Like so much about our health, however, it turns out that some of the conventional wisdom associated with migraine prevention and cure was simply wrong.
Migraine sufferers have long been cautioned to avoid certain foods believed to bring on attacks, especially chocolate, alcohol (red wine in particular) and aged cheese. But the evidence supporting this notion is meager. More common causes include stress (positive or negative), weather changes, estrogen withdrawal, fatigue and sleep disturbances (hence, perhaps, the association with alcohol, which can disrupt sleep), as well as overuse of over-the-counter pain medications.
Given my own personal empirical studies, the new evidence clearly seems more accurate. While I have never been able to tie any foods to the arrival or prevention of migraines, in particular, weather (heat and bright sunlight) combined with stress or fatigue particularly heighten the odds that I may be victim to a migraine. Anyone who has experienced the agony of these nasty attacks knows just how dreaded they are, too.
Will this new research lead to potential superior cures and prevention? I for one wholeheartedly hope so!
After over a decade of dealing with my migraines after the fact, I decided to try and find the root cause of my migraines. I have found that the best way for me to deal with my migraine pain is to prevent the pain from ever occurring by preventing my migraines from ever occurring in the first place. While migraine prevention has worked
wonderfully for me, each migraineur has their own way of dealing with their migraines and the associated migraine pain. Because of this fact, I founded Migraine Prevent and its accompanying web site as a migraine forum for migraineurs to gather as a community to try and help each other with the best solutions. More specifically, though, I developed the nutraceutical product by the same name as my company, Migraine Prevent. The formula that I have
formulated in Migraine Prevent provides the right combination of Magnesium, Vitamin B2 (Riboflavin), Feverfew, and Butterbur to prevent migraines through proper nutrition. It is my hope and dream that MigrainePrevent.com will help provide the synergy needed for all migraine sufferers to rid themselves of this debilitating ailment. I truly hope we are able to help you rid yourself of migraine pain. I can completely empathize with you and with your pain. Nevermore will I be satisfied with yesterday's accomplishments nor will I indulge, anymore, in self-praise for deeds which in reality are too small to even acknowledge.
